  1. Mr. Labarda AKA aCiD_BuRn

    Backgrounder
Mr. Labarda, a self-professed hacker, has been claiming for an extended period of time on his web site at http://acid22.hypermart.net/pubinfo.html that he also works "in a physical office with a company called MUJO Web Designs who maintain and design some websites on the web today like, BCTel Interactive Sympatico and, AT&T Canada Internet Service just to name a couple."

    MUJO's Response
The owner and operator of MUJO has never had any semblance of association with Mr. Labarda AKA aCiD_BuRn. His claim of association with MUJO is unauthorized, deceitful and fraudulent. We have sent an e-mail inquiry and appropriate warning to him and addressed a copy to his current hosting provider, HyperMart of Burlington, MA at abuse@hypermart.net, on February 27, 2004 requesting that he refrains from referring to our name on his web site at the earliest opportunity. Screen shots of his web page have been attached to our warning message for the record as evidentiary support in case of litigation and obligatory reporting to appropriate law enforcement agencies.

We recommend strongly that our customers reject such claim if approached by the likes of aCiD_BuRn through any means of communication and there is any reasonable doubt with the identity of the person or persons claiming to be a "representative, developer, designer, user, operator, agent, or consultant" or any other capacity for that matter at MUJO. Please alert us immediately by sending mail to and describe the nature of your encounter.

    Case Resolution
Although MUJO has not received any form of reply from HyperMart, the offending web site is no longer available as of March 20, 2004. We surmise that the hosting company has received our complaint and responded to it according to their abuse policy. We are grateful for and satisfied with HyperMart's action to remove Mr. Labarda AKA aCiD_BuRn's web site and his false claim of association with MUJO along with it. We consider this issue resolved and closed.
